The Irapé Hydropower Plant is located on the Jequitinhonha River, in the city of Grão Mogol, in the State of Minas Gerais, Southeastern Brazil. Inaugurated in June 2006, Irapé has an installed capacity of 360 MW and has the highest dam already built in Brazil and the second highest in Latin America, with 205 meters.
